Hi im new to zmodeler and im trying to import this light bar into the project im working in and this is the error code i get how can i fix this
ZModeler is ready.
Not a ZModeler 1.x version Z3D file. file:oldZ3DImportExport.cpp line:304
Merge, not Import.
((Also don't steal other people's topics, make your own in the right section next time.)) -
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I don't use police cars or crappy mods so I wouldn't know about those cars, lol

Bottom 2 vids, watch the part about collisions, you'll see he gives properties to the parts of chassis col that cover the windows. Maybe it's that -
It's all related to chassis COL, look at the User defined Options of a vanilla car and you'll see.

You mean alt tabbing didn't work, or doing it didn't do anything?
You should try Ctrl-Shift-Del in that case. -
If both sides are also welded together, it's best to use the Break tool on all verts before, and then use the multiple weld. just use the lowest settings, 0.0001 (just scroll down once on the first value) and UV lowest too (scroll down once again) and start with a low angle until it looks how you want it. Oh I forgot, before rewelding, make sure to calculate normals after breaking them so they "reset".
-
i use https://developer.nvidia.com/n…ure-tools-adobe-photoshop to make my normal maps
Polygon normals, not normal maps, those are vertex-based
-
Did you use his latest release?
-
Can't wait to get my hands on these and make handlings
-
Normals are also broken on the tyre, you can see the polygon shape clearly which is obviously not good Follow the tips and experiment with settings
-
It could be the polygon normals are messed up too. Doesn't seem like a simple spec error.
Did you recalculate the rim normals by any chance?
-
There is an explanation, just go on the zmod3 forums and look at the "converting from IV" tutorial, he shows everything at the beginning, how he sets it up.
-
....Do they work as turn signals still too? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
Do the sidemarkers actually ,,work''?
Good point, I wonder if the turn light turns on with the headlight too, if not I could help you with it Lundy.
-
Will there be civilian counterparts too?
-
Thank you Cj
-
Noice! And thanks for the "generic" expiration stickers
Also, I think to remove the "jagging" around the letters on the normals I think you might have to use ARGB8 format, might be DXT issue.
-
Oh if you're following my suggestion, then I guess numbers-wise it's no problem, I'll leave it as the default-config with 7 characters. It's mainly the background that I'm interested in.

Well your call then, but personally I already used them so

We have provided more information on this in our privacy policy. And I don't see a problem with it. I think actually going without the full stickers would then make it look too empty.
EDIT: Actually seeing the real ones again I guess no stickers would make sense too, like this

Anyway, some suggestions if you're open to that:
