I have a lightbar that I am trying to make larger. So I try to scale it a little larger. I first try to select the entire lightbar (as seen in the screenshot; objects turn red) and then just move drag the mouse upwards which rescales it. Unfortunately, it seems to not affect the elements inside the lightbar. Those components can't seem to be selected. And as you can see from the screenshot, those objects stay black. Can't seem to select or grab them with the lightbar.
What do I need to do to resize the entire lightbar including the objects inside of it?

Hey, try turning off "affect children"
Good suggestion. Unfortunately, that didn't work either... Appreciate the suggestion though...

Hello everyone...
I'm having a problem selecting an element in order to move it to the correct position...
I've just merged another project (lightbar) into this project, the CVPI vehicle. The problem is that I don't know how to select the entire lightbar. When I use the select tool and drag the entire square around the lightbar, it only grabs the outside glass and lens portion of the lightbar. And seems to leave the other elements of the lightbar unselected (as seen in the other screenshot)... How do I select the entire lightbar so that I can lower into position on top of the vehicle without leaving some portion of it behind.

So with a few of my ELS lights, I've noticed that they show nice and bright when viewed from angle. But the same light viewed from a different angle looks like it's being partially hidden, thereby not showing brightly.
See the screenshots below.
First photo shows one light from the first angle.
Second photo (far right), shows the same light from a different angle.
What did I do wrong? Something in Zmodeler that I need to reconfigure. The other lights are fine. But a few of the other lights all seem to do that.

Was working on a policeb (police motorbike) and did some editting to it.
But I have silver wheels. All else is fine.
I'm just not sure how to find what is missing or causing silver wheels in Zmodeler..
Incidentally, I also have a texture creating a checkered appearance on one of my vehicles... but not sure how to find what texture in Zmodeler is causing that.
Any suggestions are welcomed.

I've checked the vehicle.meta and made sure that the tintdiffuse is set to clear; also adjusted the tint in using the Trainer.
The only optional method I know next, is to lighten the windshield in Photoshop. which will make the file a PNG format (but I guess that's okay).

"Or social group".
Gatekeeping or policing language is not necessary when people understand what is being said. It's common in the GTA modding community to refer to pushbars as rambars.Oh,
Of course. GTAV is a make-believe game. Notice I said in the real world... there is a difference.
Oh, I'm sorry. Were you answering for Sniper67?

Dialect (di·a·lect) - noun - meaning: a particular form of a language which is peculiar to a specific region or social group.
What region have you heard it being referred to as 'rambars'?

Not sure to be honest.
It must be a default sound in the files somewhere
If the sound name matches the model name, then it's not necessary to input it. That's why vanilla cars have nothing in there. For an addon car, or in general to change sound you have to input the model name of another car.
Ah, thank you both... appreciate the insight.

<audioNameHash>BJXL</audioNameHash>
Mines edited and works fine
You're correct. I've edited sounds before. That's what I did. Maybe it was the handling parameter that caused the crashes.. . I'll try it again. Thanks

I use BJXL for the FPIU sound and handling
For the FPIS I use TALEGATE
Can you still edit that audiohash parameter in the vehicle.meta file?
My game seems to crash every time I load it after editing the file..
-
I've seen that you can edit the engine sound parameters at the audiohash tag.
But wondering if there's another place where similar edits can be made (aside from editing the actual sound file).
What vehicle sounds yield the better, more realistic sounds for crown Vic or FPIU?

I've often been afraid to delete the materials under the 'unused materials'....
-
In the real world we never refer to these as "rambars". We call them pushbars. Hence the PB on the prefix of the model name. Just an FYI...
-
I lost the glossiness to my model...
I was rearranging the materials to fix my lightbar. Now that my lightbar is fixed, I must have messed something up in the materials view?
Any ideas?
-
Wow... That's what the issue was. I just ended up moving all the emissive marked files up to the top as you mentioned. And that fixed the issue.
I may have out done myself though. My tail light now looks different. It still lights up. But the entire lens is red when only the outline should be illuminated.

Ah, that's a concept that I might not be completely clear about...
emissive materials vs glass materials...
How would I distinguish between the two in Zdmodeler? or what do those files look like in the right panel?
